The River View Residence is nested into a bluff overlooking the Gallatin Valley near Bozeman Montana with panoramic views across 4 mountain ranges. The site is situated within a delicate arid sage hillside which made it important for this project to disturb as little of the existing landscape as possible.

The home is designed with the intention of being set within the landscape and revealing panoramic views only as one enters and explores the home. The entry occurs at a gap between the two primary forms. Private sleeping and bathing spaces are to one side and gathering and entertaining spaces are within the other.
